Happy Mother’s day Moms; you’re the best!

Mother’s day is fast approaching and right now many people who procrastinate are panicking because they do not have that perfect gift for their moms. What is the perfect gift to give mom? Very popular and interesting question this time of the year.

I believe each mom is unique and special and you could not be told by another person what the best gift will be for your mom. The question you should be asking yourself is, What will mom like? not what do people say is the best gift?

The best gift comes from the heart and for me it is the idea behind the gift that counts most. I am a mom of three and all I will ever want from them on this day when they grow up is to spend this day with me. Don’t get me wrong, I love gifts a lot but try to imagine yourself as a mom who got tons of gifts mailed to her by her kids for mother’s day with no one to celebrate mother’s day with! Yikes!

Many children forget really fast or do not appreciate how much mom sacrificed for them to be who they are. I have heard stories of kids who will not find the time to call and wish their moms a happy mother’s day and will rather send a text to their moms on mother’s day. Another Yikes!

I believe the best gift you can give your mom is your time! Yes precious time! Find the time to spend mother’s day with your mom . Take her for a walk in the park, cook something nice for her, take her to the movies or just do her favorite thing with her. If you can’t make it home on this day, at least find time to talk with her and let her know you love and appreciate her.
